Interactive Voice Response
(IVR)
A CTI (computer telephony integration) application that allows callers
to conduct business or obtain information without talking to a member
of your staff.
Intercom Auto Dial
A button that is programmed to ring or page another extension whenever
the button is pressed.
Internet Service Provider (ISP)
A company that delivers access to the Internet, usually by subscription
and for a monthly fee.
Intranet
A private network created for information sharing within a business or
community. An Intranet is not intended for public access.
IP Address
A 32-bit number that identifies each sender or receiver of information
that is sent in packets across the Internet. It is usually represented
in dotted decimal notation.
ISDN
An abbreviation for Integrated Services Digital Network - a way to move
voice and data rapidly over existing regular phone lines
