Key Mode
An operating mode where the system uses personal lines on line buttons for outside calls with a separate interface for inside calling.

Key Telephone System
A small type of phone system that typically use buttons or keys to access different outside lines. Key systems can easily be expanded to accomodate a wide range of features and up to about 30 phone lines.
