T1
A leased-line connection capable of carrying data at 1,544,000 bits-per-second. The T1 carrier is the most commonly used digital line in the United States.

Telephone Programming

Procedures that allow you to customize phone extensions to meet the needs of individual users, including the assignment of features to programmable buttons. Telephone programming can be done either centrally or from the user's own extension.

Transfer Redirect Extension
The extension number to which transferred calls are redirected if the calls have not been answered or the extensions are busy and they do not have coverage.

Transfer Return Extension
By default, transferred calls that are not answered are returned to the originating extension.

Trunk
A line that carries multiple voice or data channels between two telephone exchange switching systems.

Twisted Pair
The ordinary copper wire that connects home and many business computers to the telephone company. To reduce crosstalk or electromagnetic induction between pairs of wires, two insulated copper wires are twisted around each other.
